Elect Edward C Greco
Edward C. Greco was raised in Kulpmont, not more than six blocks from his office location.
He is a son of Robert "Bob" Greco and the late Jean Greco.
Attorney Greco attended Mount Carmel Area School District and participated in varsity football, track and basketball, where he graduated in 1981. He went on to attend and obtain his bachelor's degree in history with a minor in business, from Bloomsburg University in 1985. He graduated in 1988 from University of Dayton School of Law.
Early in his career, Attorney Greco worked for law firms in Pottsville, Philadelphia and Shamokin. However, wanting to provide legal service to the region in which he was raised, he opened his current law office in Kulpmont, in 1992.
Attorney Greco has extensive experience in many areas of the law, as you can see from browsing the website. He is committed to providing prompt and fair service to everyone in Northumberland County.
Even though Attorney Greco's roots are in southern Northumberland County, he has ties throughout the district. He has resided for many years in Rockerfeller Township, just out side of Sunbury, Pa. He has represented the Milton and Sunbury area for the Public defenders Office and has a very good rapport with those local police agencies.

Attorney Greco served as past president of the Northumberland County Bar Association and has represented clients and municipalities in a three-county area. He was appointed as a hearing officer master to preside over many divorce cases. He was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the United States Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Greco has worked with the Northumberland County Criminal Justice Advisory Board since its inception, working with all facets of the county’s criminal justice system.
Greco graduated from the University of Dayton School of Law while earning a juris doctorate degree in 1988. He graduated from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history in 1985. He has his own private law practice in Kulpmont and serves as solicitor for Mount Carmel Area School District, Cleveland Township in Columbia County, City of Shamokin, City of Shamokin Government Study Commission, Hartleton Borough in Union County, Hartleton Borough Municipal Authority, Kulpmont Borough, Kulpmont-Marion Heights Joint Municipal Authority, Marion Heights Borough, Rockefeller Township, Northumberland County Tax Collection Committee and Central Susquehanna Opportunities Inc. He was previously solicitor for Coal Township, Northumberland County Tax Claims Bureau and New Berlin Borough in Union County.
Greco has worked with numerous civic organizations throughout his career and has often offered his services for free. He said, “I believe that all litigants should be treated fairly regardless of their economic status, and I pledge to provide fair and equal justice for all.”
Attorney Greco has been Northumberland County's Chief Public Defender for over 30 years. As a public defender, he is qualified to handle death penalty cases in Pennsylvania. This certification is brought about with the required legal education and having tried a required number of significant felony cases established by Pennsylvania.
He continues to take various educational courses and last year obtained a certificate of training in forensic evidence presented by the Public Defender Association of Pennsylvania.
The Kulpmont-born candidate has also served as a school solicitor for almost 30 years.
He stated, “I have worked well with our current judges and feel my broad experience in criminal and civil matters would be an asset to the county to ensure continuity for a smooth transition of existing and future cases. In addition to my criminal law experience, I have extensive experience in divorce, custody, protection from abuse, wills/estates and corporate matters. With such vast knowledge of many types of law, I feel I would be an asset to preside over cases in Northumberland County.”
